When ordering a custom piece from Mortise & Tenon, you have the option to choose your finish. You can choose a wash, ceruse, or stain.
A stain is one color across the wood. It is absorbed by the rings of wood differently, which causes highlights and lowlights.
**Please note, different kinds of wood will take stains differently. If you see a stain you like on Reclaimed wood, but are wanting Oak, it will look different. We do offer samples before your piece is finished, to ensure you get what you want.
